The Henry County Relief Aid Collaborative (HCRAC) is a network of local government agencies, nonprofit organizations, businesses, faith-based partners, and volunteers dedicated to supporting residents before, during, and after disasters or local crises.
Formed in the wake of the January 12, 2023 tornadoes that struck Henry County, particularly the Locust Grove area, HCRAC identified a clear need for coordinated, community-based recovery.
Today, that same collaborative spirit drives everything we do. We exist to strengthen Henry County’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies; whatever form they take.

To coordinate community-wide efforts in preparedness, response, and long-term recovery following disasters and emergencies, ensuring that every resident of Henry County has access to the support and resources needed to recover and thrive.

HCRAC serves as the coordinating body for local recovery efforts, aligning the strengths of non-profit and faith-based community organizations, government agencies, businesses, and volunteers to ensure effective assistance during and after disaster.
Our IMPACT
In 2025 alone, Henry County has experienced a remarkable range of disasters that underscore the importance of coordinated recovery:
Four confirmed tornadoes struck various areas of the county.
Two back-to-back winter storms brought icy roadways, downed trees, and widespread power outages.
Numerous flooding events, both isolated and part of larger systems, impacted homes and roadways across multiple communities.
And in one extraordinary event, a meteorite penetrated a resident’s roof, reminding us that hazards can take many forms.
These incidents reflect the diverse and unpredictable threats our community faces each year. The Henry County Relief Aid Collaborative exists to ensure that—whether the challenge is natural or man-made, large or small—our residents have a reliable network ready to respond, recover, and rebuild.
